Learning Outcomes To Explore the use of digital tools to gather, and organise data.

What digital tools do you currently use in your job? Go to www.menti.com and enter the code 86 71 98 Access wordcloud results Get participants to access the mentimeter which is set up as a word cloud to take feedback on the question. Display results and maybe a little discussion on various softwares.

Creating a Mentimeter Go to the website Mentimeter .com to create an account 1. Click on “Sign Up” and register your account 2. Create 1st Menti: Click 3. Give your presentation a name 4. Choose your Type; Type in your question 5. Depending on your Type fill required detail 6. Click to view results page and details for respondents: “Url + Pin”

Using Padlet Type in the Url: http://www.Tinyurl.com/tanaisteICT2016 Double click on the screen to open an edit box Add a title (Chosen strategy) Add a brief description of the teaching strategy. Add a link to further information Add an image of some kind *You can use the internet to locate and paste in resources Before the participants begin to fill the padlet do a quick walkthrough of how to add an edit box Adding a titl description  The types of material that can be added. The participants should use the Internet to locate resources to add to their padlet entry

Creating your own Padlet Go to the website Padlet.com to create an account 1. Click on “Sign Up” and register your details” 2. Create 1st Padlet: Click 3. Add Title (Question), Description, Wallpaper and Layout and click 6. Settings should be ok click Your padlet wall is ready to go Participants now register their own padlet account and create their own padlet wall. One of these will be taken and the used for the group to access. Random selecting of example (spinner if it can be set up easily

Kahoot Task Sign up for free and create an account www.getkahoot.com Create a 5 question Kahoot quiz based on a topic from a subject of your choice Choose Quiz Add title, brief description, audience (Extension add a picture) You can use online resources to help you research if you wish Follow on screen instructions and publish Step participants through creating Kahoot account and a 5 question quiz Choose 1 quiz randomly to test the group if you have time

Worth mentioning here for Chrome and gmail users that google have a nice mind map free tool addon called Coggle https://www.goconqr.com/
