States Should Plan for Recruiting Goals Blueprint People Process

Have a statewide, shared Goal of what growth needs to take place Vision Have a statewide, shared Goal of what growth needs to take place

Have a detailed blueprint or plan of where, when, who and how

It takes a joint effort of many to reach your goals People It takes a joint effort of many to reach your goals

Without a process, people will waste their efforts and get discouraged

Recruiting for Diversity Required a focused blueprint to coordinate efforts reaching diverse groups, and needs to be measured and tracked at by the State Recruiting Coordinator Should be an important part of the Roadmap/Blueprint Recruit to mirror local prison population

Who should lead recruiting efforts? Each state should have a Recruitment coordinator Each advisory council should have a recruitment coordinator They should be working as a joint committee to coordinate, communicate, train, track and share

State Coordinator Duties? Train councils on the tools available Communicate potential contacts coming from outside sources Encourage the use of Donor to track potential volunteers, donors, guests and sponsors Coordinate speakers’ bureau Coordinate local efforts to recruit near new facilities of interest

What are some ways to recruit? Ask each council to have 1 group activity For example, a booth at the fair complete with pop up banners, meal tickets, prayer chains and follow up cards Have agape parties inviting others to join in Invite people to a closing Literature and Pop up banner at your church

Recruiting is just getting others involved. Share the Love!

Where to recruit Booth at organized Events 4th Day reunions Men/Women’s Groups Other interested ministries Friends, neighbors, your own church-people with whom you already have a relationship Public Service Announcements with Christian Radio channels
