Background 1- The company is Apple. 2- Sells electronics. 3- It was created in by Steve Jobs, 3- The leadership structure is divided into four categories.

The Leader Name: Steve Jobs. Age: February 24, 1955 - October 5, 2011 = 56 years. Qualifications: - Internship at Hewlett Packard. Joined Homebrew Computer Club. Formed Apple Computer Company. Job history: - Apple computers. NeXT Computer. Pixar and Disney. Apple Company. Leadership style: Transformational - charismatic leader.

The Problem Starting from 1976: Apple sells went really low. Apple lost $708 million. John Scully ran Apple, but didn’t have a good understanding of Apple’s brand or culture. Replaced employees several times. He directly fire any poor employee. He sets his goals without clarifying them because it seemed so obvious to him. Rob Johnson, the creator of the outstanding retail store left. Alison Johnson, Apple’s vice president of global marketing and communication left. The board of directors didn’t agree with Steve and got him out once. * Not having stability in staff and needs time to the other people taking place to catch up. * Had a problem in decision making.

Short-term solution In 1985 he went to next company. In 1986 he established independent company known as Pixar. Years after John Scully was leader in apple company.

Long-term solution Seeking new opportunities. Look at the areas you plan to grow, change, or improve in your business strategy. Differentiation.

Summary 1-Apple is an American company that sell electronics. 2- The leader of this company is Steve Jobs, who participated in variety of companies. 3- Apple faced a lot of problems that caused Steve Jobs getting fired and the company falling. 4- Apple applied short and long term strategies to overcome these obstacles.
