The Lion Dairy Pride Program for our dairy farmers Program Oliver – Customer Support Factsheet Use this Factsheet to understand the changes for our customers from 28 March 2016 and how best to support them through the transition. The Lion Dairy Pride Program for our dairy farmers …let’s take a closer look QUICK GLANCE Lion Dairy & Drinks (Lion) is committed to building strong, genuine partnerships with our dairy – the Lion Dairy Pride Program will help us to deliver on this commitment. Lion is proud to launch the Lion Dairy Pride Program, a sustainability dairy program that offers our dairy farmers a way to measure, evaluate and improve key areas of sustainability on their farm. We encourage all of our dairy farmers to participate in the Lion Dairy Pride Program to improve their farm sustainability practices where required as well as acknowledge the areas they are already performing well in. Ultimately our aim is to work with our farmers to improve their farm’s sustainability and potentially their profitability. Lion Dairy & Drinks partners with around 400 dairy farmers across Australia, many of them family businesses and all of them are committed to raising healthy herds so together we can deliver delicious natural goodness to every Australian, every day. NEED HELP? The Lion Dairy Pride Program for our dairy farmers THE STARS DEFINED FAQ’s The results of the Lion Dairy Pride Program self-assessment tool are displayed through a star rating system. As you work through the questions, a star rating indicates your progress by each module. The overall rating of your farm, is an average of the stars within each module. The star ratings are indicative ratings to give you an understanding of how you are progressing towards a sustainable farm, highlighting areas of your farm business that may need action – this rating is not associated to a contract. What do dairy farmers receive for participating in the program? Dairy farmers will have access to a great range of industry standard tools and resources. The self-assessment tool provides insights into the farm business – it’s up to the individual business to get the most out of this program with the support of Lion. Who is this program for? At this stage, only those dairy farmers who supply milk to Lion Dairy & Drinks will have access to the program, which includes both Lion Direct and Dairy Farmers Milk Co-operative (DMFC) suppliers. How do I access the program? Each Lion dairy farmer will need to register on the Lion Dairy Pride Program website www.dairypride.lionco.com to access the program. Once registered, a login and password will be sent to the nominated email address. Your Lion Farm Service Representative can assist with the initial set-up. How long will it take to complete each module? The number of questions within each module varies, so does the amount of time to complete each module. On average, it takes ten minutes to complete each question. You can work through the self-assessment at your own pace and stop at any point. What will Lion do to help dairy farmers improve on the farm? Our Farm Services Team representative will work directly with our dairy farmers to complete the program. Lion is committed to ensure our dairy farmers understand the tools and resources offered as part of the Lion Dairy Pride Program to help our dairy farmers achieve a high level of sustainability.
