SHSM Sport The SHSM Sports enables students to build a foundation of knowledge and skills before graduating and entering apprenticeship training, college, university, or an entry-level position in the workplace.

SHSM Sport This SHSM may be designed to have a particular focus; for example, on competitive and recreational sports, sports management, or sports media and broadcasting. This focus is achieved through the selection of the four major credits in the bundle.

SHSM Sport 2016-17 Students enrolled in JP2 SHSM Sport were involved in the following activities during the 2016-17 school year: WHMIS Training - Canadian law requires that any person exposed to hazardous materials in the workplace must be trained in Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS). All SHSM Sport students will receive WHMIS training prior to beginning their coop placement. Boler Tree Top Adventure - Offers a form of recreation for those who crave activities that are healthy, inspired by nature and which promote personal growth and a sense of accomplishment. 

SHSM Sport 2016-17 High 5 Leadership Training – Sport - Focuses on the social, emotional, and cognitive development and wellbeing of athletes. The training is based in research and has been designed to help coaches with top coaching dilemmas such as dealing with parents, keeping the child's interest, ensuring fair play and an emotionally safe environment.  Nutrition and Training Presentation with Graeme Thomas from Fanshawe College - Graeme is a fitness professional – coaching Olympians, athletes and hundreds of every day clients through dramatic transformations. 

SHSM Sport 2016-17 UWO Exercise Physiology Research Lab and Taping Clinic with Dave Humphreys - UWO’s School of Kinesiology is home to numerous research facilities, allowing students to enhance their learning experience alongside world-class researchers. The faculty’s diverse research interests span all areas of kin and provide research opportunities for undergrad and grad students.

All for FREE as students enrolled in JP2s SHSM Sport First Aid/CPR Training - SHSM Sport students will participate in a two day First Aid/CPR Certification training course. All for FREE as students enrolled in JP2s SHSM Sport
