How God Speaks Today Psalms 19:1 – 4

Sometimes people have those days when we wonder if God is really there and if he is listening.

I contend that God has made himself known to man I also contend that he speaks to us daily in many ways.

I. God speaks loudly through His creation.

The heavens declare the glory of God, And the firmament shows His handiwork

How well do we listen? Rom. 1 – “For since the creation of the world His attributes are clearly seen.” Psa. 8:3 - When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained

Einstein was prompted to believe in, “an Intelligence that produced the integrative complexity of creation.” The intelligent design of the universe prompted even a prominent atheist (Anthony Flew) to become a deist.

The intelligent design of the universe, demands an intelligent infinite designer. Through creation we can know “That God Exists”

So if the Divine Creator truly exists, what does he want us to know or do? For that……

God speaks through His Word.

God’s voice is His word. II Tim 3:16-17—All scripture is given by “inspiration of God”………….. His Word produces faith.----(Rom. 10:17) In the Word we see fulfilled prophecy ----- producing faith. There is eyewitness testimony of Jesus ministry and death

His Word has been translated into nearly every language. The manuscript evidence, attesting to the authenticity of the Bible is superior to any other work of antiquity.

“Thy Word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our pathway” It will guide us home if we will listen, believe, and obey.

God speaks to us through His Son.

Jesus’ life, death, burial and resurrection changed the very course of history. He was the God-man….Jesus said. “if you have seen Me you have seen the father.” 8 Times in John he declared himself, the “I AM”

Do we heed his words on living? Do we heed his advice on how to be saved? Do we heed his warnings on the judgement? Do we take seriously his teachings on heaven and hell?

God speaks through His people.

Can he depend on us to speak for Him today? Jesus said, “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature, he who believes and is baptized will be saved…..” Can he depend on us to speak for Him today?

The Psalmist said, “The fool has said in his heart there is no God.” Isaiah said, “Seek the Lord while he may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord and he will have mercy on him; And to our God, for he will abundantly pardon him.”

Will you heed the voices of God Today?
