Outline Jesus’ Abundant love to everyone Jesus’ Blessing beyond what we ask Jesus’ Cleansing power produces miracle Obedience – Key to the miracle Thankfulness – Key to more blessings

Jesus’ Abundant love to everyone Luke 17:11  And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.

From Galilee To Jerusalem

Jesus’ Abundant love to everyone Luke 17:11  And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. True love does not choose who to love Jesus chooses to love us and die for us Jesus loves us despite of our: Status, Position, Wealth, nor Health, etc. Psa 8:4  ”What is man, that thou art mindful of him?”

Jesus’ Blessing beyond what we ask… Luk 17:12  And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: Luk 17:13  And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.

Leprosy in Bible Times Your Subtopics Go Here

Jesus’ Blessing beyond what we ask… Luk 17:12  And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: Luk 17:13  And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. The lepers asked for mercy (probably food, clothes, or other material help) Jesus healed them from incurable decease. Eph 3:20  ”Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,”

Jesus’ Cleansing power produces miracle Luk 17:14  And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.

Jesus’ Cleansing power produces miracle Luk 17:14  And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. Leprosy was considered as incurable in Bible time Jesus wanted to show them that he is not a doctor but a savior It is not magic, it is a miracle Mat 19:26  ”…With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.”

Power of healing - Miracle

Obedience – Key to the miracle Luk 17:14  And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. The healing did not happen immediately The healing probably happened after they start going to see the priest Taking action is critical (e.g. Naaman 2 King 5)

Thankful – Key to more blessings Luk 17:15  And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, Luk 17:19  And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole. Only one came back to thank Jesus He was not only heal physically but also receive salvation Thankfulness leads to more blessings

Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? Luk 17:16  And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. Luk 17:17  And Jesus answering said, Luk 17:18  There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? Many are not thankful!

Conclusion Jesus’ Abundant love to everyone Jesus’ Blessing beyond what we ask Jesus’ Cleansing power produces miracle Obedience – Key to the miracle Thankfulness – Key to more blessings

Should we be Thankful?

Reflection: If I am thankful… Do I criticize about the food? Do I complain about small things? Do I envy what other people have? Do I say thank you to my parents? Do I say thank you to God? Do I share what I have with others? Do I donate money to help people in poor country?

Thankfulness should lead to action… Pray to God that you are thankful for the salvation. Tell your parents that you are thankful for them. Find one thing you can do for the church. Make an offering to help the people in need. Take time to write a gratitude list.
