and the Walk Through Shape Park Nathan and the Walk Through Shape Park By Lesley Sanford

Nathan is on his way to meet his Daddy at the Ice Cream Shop Nathan is on his way to meet his Daddy at the Ice Cream Shop. To get to the Ice Cream Shop, he must cross through Shape Park. Nathan really wants his ice cream, so he hurries on his way.

Nathan begins by walking down circle path. Then OOPS! He bumps into Mrs. Button, who was carrying 3 bags of buttons. The buttons fall on the path. Nathan says, “I’m Sorry,” and decides to help her pick them up.

The buttons are red, blue and yellow The buttons are red, blue and yellow. Nathan decides he will make 3 piles, each a different color. Then he can put them in the right bags.

He begins with the blue buttons. Then the red. Finally, he has a group of Yellow.

Mrs. Button says, “Thank you,” to Nathan. Nathan says, “You’re Welcome,” and continues on his way.

Nathan turns by Triangle tree. He sees his friend Tiggy Triangle Nathan turns by Triangle tree. He sees his friend Tiggy Triangle. Tiggy is trying to collect small green triangle leaves that have fallen off of the tree. He does not want the pink circle leaves. Tiggy asks for Nathan’s help. Nathan says, “Sure,” and begins to help Tiggy.

Nathan is walking around the sandbox when he sees Dezi Diamond Nathan is walking around the sandbox when he sees Dezi Diamond. Dezi is searching for orange and blue diamonds to put around her sandcastle. Dezi asks Nathan for his help.

Nathan and Dezi decide to make 2 piles of diamonds Nathan and Dezi decide to make 2 piles of diamonds. One pile has orange diamonds. The other pile has blue diamonds.

Dezi gets a big pile of orange and blue diamonds and says, “Thank you,” to Nathan. Nathan says, “You’re welcome,” and continues on his way.

Nathan is walking past the playground when he sees Rina Rectangle and Squiggy Square.

Rina and Squiggy have mixed up their snacks Rina and Squiggy have mixed up their snacks. Rina has yellow, rectangle shaped crackers. Squiggy has purple, square shaped crackers. Rina and Squiggy ask Nathan for his help. Nathan says, “sure,” and begins to help the two sort their snacks.

Rina, Squiggy and Nathan decide to make 2 piles. One pile will have Rina’s yellow, rectangle crackers. The other pile will have Squiggy’s purple, square crackers.

Rina and Squiggy are so happy to have their snacks they say, “Thank you,” to Nathan. Nathan says, “You’re welcome,” and continues on his way.

Nathan can see his Daddy waiting outside the ice cream shop Nathan can see his Daddy waiting outside the ice cream shop. Nathan runs over. Daddy asks Nathan, “Why did it take so long to get across Shape Park today?”.

Nathan begins to tell his Daddy how he helped all his friends sort out their shapes.

Nathan tells his Daddy how he first helped Mrs Nathan tells his Daddy how he first helped Mrs. Button make 3 piles of buttons. One Blue. One Red. One Yellow.

Nathan tells Daddy about helping Tiggy with the small green Triangle shaped leaves.

Then Nathan tells Daddy how he helped Dezi Diamond find the Orange and Blue diamonds in the sandbox.

Finally, Nathan tells Daddy how he helped Rina and Squiggy with their rectangle and square crackers.

Daddy is so happy that Nathan helped all his friends in Shape park, he buys him a triple scoop cone!

Nathan ate the whole thing!
