Introduction AUP, Acceptable Use Policy states the importance of students protection of internet/web affairs. This policy is made to prevent unauthorized access and other unlawful activities by users online. LAUSD wants to insure the safety of all users no matter what. These are the terms and conditions users have to follow in order to have a safe and productive experience using the computers…

Student Internet Safety Say: Internet safety is essential to the growth of young adolescence. This section describes things to do and not to do. Mean: This list ranges from what is acceptable in terms of how and why we use computers. Matter: Knowing what is appropriate conduct in using the school property is knowledgeable and informative.

Penalties for improper use Say: Using school computers and internet access is a privilege not a right. Mean: If a student would misuse this privilege it will result in many harsh consequences that will be decided upon the level of misuse which was done. Matter: Every criminal action will be disputed in legal action, and will be connected with a civil punishment when necessary. This helps regulate the policy and reduce misuses.

Mean: The district also denies ay responsibility for the accuracy or quality of the information obtained through user access. Matter: You use the computer at your risk.

Acceptable uses of computers Say: Every year, each enrolled student must sign a statement to insure the safety of using the school computers. Mean: Even without signing the document, using the computers you are automatically agreeing to the expectations of computer manners. Matter: This matters because even though your physically haven't signed a petition stating you will follow the conduct of internet safety you are still responsible in following them.

Unacceptable uses of computers Say: You cannot create a security and /or safety issues for the district,students,employees,schools,ect. Mean: You cannot expend district resources on the content the determine lack for educational purposes. Matter: There is absolutely no tolerance for the abuse of rules and/or property.

District protection Say: Its important to protect students from some internet sites. Mean: LAUSD as the right to monitor users online activities and to access,review,copy,and store or delete any electronic communication or files,and disclose them to others if necessary. Matter: This process of monitoring helps convince everyone that they are taking drastic measure into keeping the student environment safe and secure.

Purposes Say: Internet is for personal financial gain. Mean: Internet for personal advertising promotion of financial gain. Matter: Conducting for-profit business activities or engaging in non-governmental activities. All of these are beneficial to students success.

Conclusion In conclusion, LAUSD wants all there students and staff to have a safe and enjoyable time using their internet services. Which help educate them and better their chances in a fulfilling there career dreams and expectations. The districts Acceptance Use Policy (AUP) is a program that does just that…. And more! It helps insure eager minds to dream of the impossible.
