From steak (as the main course) to fish. You work for a restaurant, and some people have planned to come to the restaurant for a birthday party. One of them calls you to change the reservation. Ask the caller’s phone number and finish the call. You call Thomson Company, and you want to talk to your friend. Introduce yourself. Ask: You want talk to your friend, John.  Tell the secretary about the situation: Called four times, leave messages. No call back. Ask the secretary: the time he will be back? Leave a message: have to cancel dinner because of work. Leave your phone number and finish the call.

You are a part-time secretary at a language course, and also a university student studying German. A student wants to improve his/her German. Greet the student and introduce yourself. Talk about your past experiences. Give some advice about studying methods. Finish the conversation.
