Standard Operating Procedure How to Reset the Password to Your VinCENT Account
Agenda Introduction Resetting the Password Additional Information Quiz
Purpose The purpose of this SOP is to provide details on how a user can reset their password for their VinCENT account.
Scope This SOP is applicable to all VinCENT system users that need to reset their password but have not been locked out of their account due to multiple unsuccessful login attempts.
The following requirements must be met. General Requirements The following requirements must be met. The user must have a VinCENT user account. The user's email address must be listed on that account.

Resetting the Password Access the URL Click Forgot? Enter Login Click Send Instructions Message Appears Check Email and Click on Link Reset Password
Resetting the Password Save Recent Password Message Password Reset Completed Enter Login Credentials Login Icon Successful Login
Resetting the Password Access the URL First, the user would access their agency's URL to the VinCENT system.
Resetting the Password Click Forgot? Click on Forgot? next to the password data field.
Resetting the Password Enter Login Enter the Login for which the password will need reset. **Please Note: The login for each user is typically the first initial of their first name and their full last name. For Example: John Smith's login would be jsmith
Resetting the Password Click Send Instructions Click on the green Send Instructions icon.
Resetting the Password Message Appears A message will appear notifying the user to check their email address that is listed on their user account.
Resetting the Password Check Email and Click on Link The user would receive an email with a link to reset their password. The user would click on this link. **Please Note: The link included in the email is only valid for 10 minutes. After that, the user would need to resend the instructions to reset the password.
Resetting the Password Reset Password Type the new password that you wish to use in both the Password and Verify Password fields. **Please Note: The password must consist of at least 7 characters including 1 uppercase letter, 1 lowercase letter, 1 number, and 1 special character.
Resetting the Password Save Click the Save icon in the upper left hand corner of the User Options window.
Resetting the Password Recent Password Message If the password set matches the most recently used password, they will be provided a message stating this and will be required to change it to something new.
Resetting the Password Password Reset Completed Once the password has been changed successfully, the user will be taken back to the login page.
Resetting the Password Enter Login Credentials Enter the login credentials in the Login and Password fields.
Resetting the Password Login Icon Click the Login icon.
Resetting the Password Successful Login The user will be successfully logged into the VinCENT system.
