Release of Data The West Virginia Department of Education (WVDE) will release preliminary state-level results from the 2016 West Virginia General Summative Assessment (WVGSA) Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at the West Virginia Board of Education meeting in Charleston.  The public release of the preliminary results is embargoed until 2 p.m., Wednesday, August 10, 2016.

Release of Data The WVDE will not release overall preliminary WVGSA results for individual districts until Wednesday, August 17, 2016. This will give individual districts sufficient time to share the preliminary proficiency rates with their local school boards.   The state will release only the overall percent of students proficient in each content area in each district.  At that time Individual districts may release grade-level data if they choose, with an understanding that the preliminary results may change once final assessment results and final accountability results have been calculated.
