SCOOP Training -- April 2014 Hands-on Exercise 30, 31, 32: Use Activity Codes 2/15/2018 The Question: Show financial summaries and transactions by Banner Activity Code Open the workbook Scoop Session 5.xlsx. Get on tab 30-Activity Codes and run the query. Try changing the Activity Organization Code to limit the results. Get on tab 31-Actv YTD Sum, edit the Scoop for your department and run. This will break down financial summary figures by Activity. Get on tab 32-Actv YTD Trans, edit the Scoop for your department and run. This shows transactions by Activity. Try adding the Activity code to any query from the other training sessions that pulls data using the models for Finance Summary, ITD Finance Summary, or Finance Transactions.

TIMECARD_EFFECTIVE_DATE Effective date of the last job record change or labor distribution change that was in effect when the timecard was created. SALARY_ENCUMBRANCE_DETAIL FUND_BUDGET_END_DATE The end date of the period for which this particular job is charged to this fund. For 'FY' funds this will be no later than June 9th of the current fiscal year because the process only looks that far FUNDING_BEGIN_DATE The begin date of the period for which this particular job is charged to this fund. Because the salary encumbrance process only looks forward at payroll periods that have not already been posted, the FUNDING_END_DATE

SCOOP Training -- April 2014 Hands-on Exercise 33: Get Tuition Charges 2/15/2018 The Question: Show tuition charges on graduate students on assistantships. Get on tab 33-Tuition , edit the department and run the query. This one can take several minutes to return. Note that you could get fancy with Excel text functions to separate the ID number and Term code, and even VLOOKUP to connect the ID with a name.
