2017-2018 RA Selection Process Resident Advisor Job Description Role Modeling Community Development & Peer Advising Emergency Response & Duty Crisis Intervention Policy Education & Enforcement Programming Administration Other Staff Responsibilities Remuneration

2017-2018 RA Selection Process Community Information Arroyo Vista – Academic theme and Greek housing. Primarily continuing students. Campus Village – Open to continuing students. A fourth of the community will be for Graduate students, the other 3/4 of the community will be undergraduate students. Mesa Court/Middle Earth – Primarily first year student communities American Campus Communities – Open to all students. Population varies from first year students to upper class students.

2017-2018 RA Selection Process Requirements Maintain full-time student status. 2.4 quarterly cumulative GPA Must enroll in no more than 20 hours of academic credit per quarter. Good financial and judicial standing Follow policies and procedures. Attend all community openings, closings, trainings and mandatory events as scheduled. Staff meetings Tuesdays from 5:00pm to 7:00pm Background check. Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. OUTSIDE COMMITMENTS It is agreed that the RA job is the primary job and takes precedence over and supersedes any other employment or organizational involvement during the term of this agreement.

2017-2018 RA Selection Process Application Process All applications are submitted on-line at http://sites.uci.edu/studenthousingra/ Must use UCI gmail login Application includes: personal contact information, short answer questions & resume Optional 2 letters of recommendation which are due by Wednesday, January 18, 2017 by 11:59pm. The link for the letters of recommendation should be forwarded to your recommenders Deadline for application is Sunday, January 15, 2017 by 11:59pm.

2017-2018 RA Selection Process Interviews Candidates will be invited to schedule an interview by individual communities. Some candidates may have up to 4 interviews during interview week. Interview Sign-ups: 2/3-2/12 Candidates who have been invited to interview will schedule their time via an online database. Interviews will be held: 2/13 - 2/26
