IOTA R-OTE Volunteer Group Purpose Train IOTA volunteer members to be proficient in R-OTE and PYOTE Support IOTA North American members in the analysis of light curves using R-OTE and PYOTE Provide statistically correct error bars at three confidence levels for all North American reports submitted to the IOTA data base: 0.6827 0.9500 0.9973

IOTA R-OTE Volunteer Group Purpose (continued) Support light curve analysis for new members who use RunCam Night Eagle Astro Edition cameras For the most accurate results, RunCam Night Eagle Astro Edition light curves require video analysis at the field level Fields need to be combined into frames using OTE software such as Occular, AOTA, R-OTE, or PYOTE. Camera delay corrections synchronized to the ‘Y’ position of the star on the video chip need to be applied to the uncorrected results.

IOTA R-OTE Volunteer Group Purpose (continued) Review observer reports and .csv files Generate updated D and R times and error bars using R- OTE or PYOTE Use generated results to fill in D and R times and the error bar values into the user-supplied AstReport Excel form.
