Our Solar System

The Sun The Sun is by far the largest object in the solar system The sun is the largest star in the solar system. All of the planets move around the sun.

Mercury Mercury is a rocky planet.

Venus Venus is sometimes called the “Evening Star”

Earth Earth is the third planet from the Sun and the fifth largest: 71 Percent of the Earth's surface is covered with water.

Mars Mars is the Roman god of War. The planet probably got this name due to its red color; Mars is sometimes referred to as the Red Planet.

Saturn Saturn’s ring system makes Saturn the most beautiful object in the solar system. Saturn is the sixth planet from the Sun and is the second largest in the solar system. The wind blows at high speeds on Saturn .
