Primary Achievement Strategy - Bev Nicholson/Chris Jennings/Linda Hoyle

Primary Achievement Strategy Promoting better outcomes for primary aged children across Sheffield Focus in 2016-17 Locality Assessment Leads have supported Y2 and Y6 teachers to ensure that best practice has been shared. Children at KS1 & KS2 are better prepared for statutory assessment because of the sharing of ideas. Moderation within localities has been tighter than ever before. Forums for the wider sharing of statutory assessment information and the discussion of misconceptions. Some ideas for 2017-18 Work of the Locality Assessment Leads to be a central part of locality action planning. Earlier collection of predictions to better support schools. Improved moderation activities including the building of portfolios and a focus on Y2 / Y3 transition. Increasing involvement of headteachers.
