AESS Judith A. Resnik Award In June 2013, at the IEEE Board of Directors Meeting, they Approved the “Discontinuation” of the Judith Resnik Award as an IEEE Field Award. On 8 Jun 13, I received the Go-Ahead from the IEEE Awards Staff to Make the Award an AESS Only Award. I am Preparing the Required Documentation to Accomplish that. The Award will be a Plaque and a $2,000 Honorarium in any AESS Relevant Space Related Accomplishment.

Outstanding Organizational Leadership Award In AESS’ Field of Interest Conferences Seminars Workshops Tutorials Collaborative & Visionary Events Innovation Unique Organizational Approach Linking Industry, Academia & Government Global Reach The events that will be considered for the award can be very different in nature: a pattern of conferences, seminars, workshops; tutorials or even single focused events that shows a clear potential for supporting AESS’s fields of interest and IEEE’s vision as well as future growth in AESS or AESS’s fields of interest; educational patterns; experimental-based events, etc.; or collaborative events that broaden AESS’ reach through interaction with synergistic organizations. Desirable nominee characteristics are: innovation in content and/or organizational approach; constructively bringing together industry, academia and government; visionary events that lead to new AESS services and/or advances in the fields; or those that advance AESS on a global basis; and those for which the candidate grows capability over multiple events and time.
