Year of Establishment Department of Chemistry was established in 1965 Combinations Offered : Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics V.B.S. Purvanchal University has introduced Annual Examination System.

Vision The Chemistry Department vision is to graduate distinguished chemists in knowledge and various skills as well as to attain a regional prestigious rank in research and community service.

Mission The Chemistry Department provides rigorous preparation of citizens whose career path require expertise in chemistry. We are decided to rigorous standards for content knowledge, communication skills, research quality and professional behavior . We are committed to demonstrative science as a human endeavor and as a way to understand natural world . The faculty in the Chemistry Department see themselves as a resources for our University, region, state, nation and world.

Students will understand function in term of structure, kinetics and Goal Students will understand function in term of structure, kinetics and thermodynamics. Students will be able to think critically and solve problems. Students will be able to communicate effectively via both written and oral expression. Students will understand the relationship between Science and Society.

Objectives Explain and build models of chemical structure. Use library and internet resources to locate information on chemical topics. Use understanding of safe laboratory practices. Explain chemical concepts. Interpret key events in the history of Science in light of society at the time. Evaluate ethical issues in science and technology as they relate to society.

Future Plans To conduct programmes at P G Level (M.Sc.) To conduct life skill development programmes regularly after the class hours. To train the students for job opportunities. To give various project work to develop the department.
