Cool Kid Owl About Me Posters ~ These were in your child’s folder last week. - Please return the completed poster back to school in your child’s daily folder ! Journals Our first journals are coming home today! We did a fantastic job. Keep these so that you can watch the writing progress of your child. It is amazing what they will be able to write by May! Ask them to tell you about their writing and what strategies they are using! Math – We will continue learning about sorting. We will make comparisons between objects based on one attribute such as: color, size, or shape. SOL K.15   Reading – Read Aloud Stories: I Like Myself!, Little Chick, The Kite That Would Not Fly SOL K..2 Concept of Print Book: In Kindergarten and The Party SOL K.6 Focus: We will focus on book conventions. We will begin to recognize the sound and shape of /m/ and word-wall word “I” and the exclamation point. SOL K.5-K.6 Handwriting – We will practice writing the letter Mm.
