Why Art and Entertainment? After working or going to school all day people like to be entertained. They look for ways to find enjoyment and pleasure. Some people find enjoyment and pleasure in the fine arts. Fine arts include: paintings, sculptures, dance, music, and theater. Some people enjoy entertainment like sports, movies, or television. Many people enjoy all of these things. Because people want to be entertained, they are willing to pay for that entertainment. Sometimes these activities support themselves through ticket sales, but other times they have to be partially supported by government funding collected as taxes.
