Good morning everyone and welcome to today’s QI Power Hour session Good morning everyone and welcome to today’s QI Power Hour session! This is Chelsea Schwartz, Provincial Improvement Consultant with the Health Quality Council. QI Power Hour is a free montly WebEx offering hosted by the Saskatchewan Health Quality Council. QI Power Hour provides opportunity for colleagues across the health care, as well as other industries, to hear from local and national improvement experts on a variety of quality improvement-related topics. Just a reminder that these sessions are recorded, and posted to the Health Quality Council’s website to allow access to our colleagues who are not able to join us on the Webinar today.

To Mute and Unmute Press: *6 As we are using a teleconference line in conjunction with our Webinar today, please note that we require all participants to mute their lines. Please do not use the “mute” function on your phone, as this sometimes results in music playing on the line. Please press *6 to mute your line, and press *6 again to unmute if you would like to ask a question during the Q & A. I’ll give everyone a moment now to make sure their lines are muted. Press: *6

WebEx Tools Chat function: Share questions, comments and ideas Send to everyone These sessions are designed to be fun, interactive learning sessions, so we encourage your participation on today’s Webinar! We encourage you to use the chat function during today’s session to share your questions, comments and ideas. You’ll find the chat function on the right hand side of your screen. You can access the chat function by clicking on the message bubble on the top, right-hand side of your screen. Our presenter today has designed our session today to be very conversational – so we encourage your participation on both the teleconference line, as well as through the chat. We will have some time dedicated to Q & A at the end of today’s presentation. Please send your questions to all participants, so we can all join in the discussion. If you are experiencing technical difficulties, please direct message the HQC Host, and they will be happy to help you resolve your issue. Let’s take a moment to practice this function by typing in the name of the organization you’re joining us today from.

Join the Conversation #QIPowerHour @hqcsask We also encourage you to use Twitter as you listen to today’s session to share your learnings! Use hashtag QI Power Hour and the handle hqcsask.

Spread of QI Power Hour in SK In addition to representation from all 13 health regions in the province, we’ve also seen participation from other healthcare agencies, as well as other organizations with an interest in Quality Improvement.

How to Manage Change Using the Principles of ADKAR Today’s session: How to Manage Change Using the Principles of ADKAR Dr. Sheryl Mills, University of Saskatchewan Teaching and Learning Centre I’m now delighted to welcome Dr. Sheryl Mills. Sheryl has conducted research on organizational change and has Prosci training in the ADKAR model, but mostly she just love “change”! and I love sharing good ideas about change :)   Sheryl Mills works with the Gwenna Moss Centre for Teaching Effectiveness and, in her “spare time”, consults with a wide variety of organizations on change, leadership,  developing effective teams, and coaching and mentoring but change is her favourite topic of all!  Welcome Sheryl!
