Music – the sounds made by people singing or playing musical instruments. Music can also mean the art and skill of writing or playing music.

Types of music Classical music is music which is regarded as serious and has been popular for a very long time, for example the music of Beethoven, Mozart or Tchaikovsky. For example: Ludwig van Beethoven – Symphony №9

Jazz - music that was originally played by black Americans in the early 20th century, which has a strong beat and has parts in it that performers play alone. For example: Louis Armstrong – What A Wonderful

Pop – modern music that is popular with young people and usually has simple tunes and strong beat. For example: Lady Gaga – Married the night

Rock – a type of popular modern music with electric guitars and a strong loud beat. For example: Nickelback – This Means War

Hip hop music(hip-hop,rap music) is a music genre consisting of a stylized rhythmic music that commonly accompanies rapping, a rhythmic and rhyming speech that is chanted. For example: Eminem feat Rihanna – Love The Way You Lie

Dance – a name for some types of modern music such as house, tecno etc, that are made using electronic equpment and have a very fast, strong beat. For example: Fisherspooner – Never Win

Folk – a type of traditional music in which people sing and play instruments without any electronic equipment. For example: English Folk Music - Greensleeves

World music- music from places such as South America, Africa, tne Middle East, and the Far East . For example: African music
