BELL, 2/13 If you did not click PUBLISH on each individual page/chapter or your Poetry Unit, please go back and do so now. Otherwise I do not have access to your poems and cannot score them. (Psst, if you missed your deadline here’s your chance to sneak your work in!) Read quietly If you like you may begin working on your book.

NEW AND IMPROVED Reminders: Friday – party at 2:00 – bring snacks and drinks if you like. Monday – no school

12 February: Today, you will… CCSS.ELA-Literacy.W.11-12.4 Produce clear and coherent writing in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience by writing a picture book and including illustrations.

Writing & Illustrating a Picture Book Use the APP Book Creator in order to write a picture book. Your book should be 10-15 pages in length, not counting the title page. It should include illustrations, colorful and neat, on each page. Pay special attention to your content --- picture books use words that count! They get the biggest bang for their bucks!!! Your language should be picturesque – imaginative – original – fresh! Your story should have a ‘lesson’ learned. Your story should have a clear beginning, middle, and end.

There are no Convention errors anywhere in the work. Conventions There are no Convention errors anywhere in the work. Some errors exist but they do not hinder the understanding of the text.
