Need To Know The IC Portal will be OPEN from 1/22 (3pm) until 1/27 (3pm) (Students can get help in the DC with registration during this time) Students access the portal by going to the LTHS Website and clicking on the Infinite Campus Portal Link

Course Selection Adjustments February 24th NO COURSE REQUEST CHANGES AFTER THIS DATE!

Senior Required Courses *Required courses, PE & Consumer Econ, are automatically entered *If you have already taken Consumer Econ your counselor will change request when you meet through English *If you would like an alternate PE your counselor will adjust when you meet through English

Senior Requested Courses Be sure to choose electives wisely; makeup and graduation credits are your priority – Use APG to check out NEW COURSE OFFERINGS ***Social Studies elective will not automatically be entered***

COURSE RECOMMENDATIONS on IC PORTAL   There will be NO course recommendations in IC Portal. You will select English, Math, Science, Social Studies, World Language courses and levels based on your current level, prerequisites, and discussion with teachers and parents.

English IV Core English Classes Prep Options – Please read further descriptions in the APG An Annual Course: World Perspectives in Literature Have the same teacher for the entire year and a smoother transition between semesters. Explore ideas of justice, the search for meaning, imagination and more through various genres of fiction and non-fiction. Semester Courses – Take two of the following: Creating and Reflecting Develop your curiosity and ability to reflect. Like art? This class with work on your reading, writing, and thinking skills and will tap into your creative side. The Visual Word Study literature through the interpretation of filmmaking and films. This is not just a watching the movie class! You will be expected to analyze, discuss, and write about cinematography and the devices used in film. The Literary Tradition of Comedy Explore humor in plays, essays, novels, and poetry in this class.

English IV AP Options English IV AP: Rhetoric of {Language and Composition The capstone class for an accel student Prepares you for the AP Language and Composition exam Thematically taught and focuses on the use of rhetoric in fiction and non-fiction, specifically the power of argument English IV AP: Literature and Composition The capstone class for an honors student Prepares you for the AP Literature and Composition exam Focuses on literary analysis and the close reading of a variety of fiction and non-fiction genres

Senior Year Math Sequence 3 Math Credits taken during high school needed for graduation (1 Algebra, 1 Geometry required as part of the three credits) See APG Math Sequence on LTHS website Discuss Level with teacher and parents If taking staggered math course pay close attention to course # and discuss with counselor

ATHLETIC STUDY HALL Students are eligible for Athletic Study Hall during their high school sport season. Students go back to PE when their season is over. In order to be eligible for Athletic Study Hall you must sign up for regular gym, PE III/IV 8131/8132

Drivers Education Classroom portion needed for graduation If completed outside of LTHS submit letter of completion or Drivers License to the secretary in the counseling office The .5 credit is needed on your transcript in order to graduate

Consumer Economics MUST take Consumer Economics Class to graduate. 1 semester course Level III Can take Junior year, Summer, or Senior year

Social Studies Electives Must take .5 credit in Social Studies Elective in addition to World History and US History Psychology- Mind, Life, AP Sociology Economics Constitutional Law US Gov’t & Politics AP/Comp. Let’s Review Infinite Campus Registration Portal opens 1/22 (3pm) and closes on 27 (3pm)– You may make adjustments to your requests until the portal closes Need Help, Get Help….go to the DC for Infinite Campus assistance Complete your CRW (gold) using the Course Offering Handout (pink), APG (online), Graduation Credit Check Handout and your 4 yr plan Using the correct codes, enter your requests on IC Bring CRW to scheduled meeting with counselor starting 1/28-2/22 during your English classes –signed by parent 2/24- NO CHANGES AFTER THIS DATE!
