School Pics School pictures for students and faculty will be October 11 starting at 8:00 (band usually goes early). Senior Portraits will be October 25-26 at 8:30 Make up for Senior portraits, faculty, and students will be November 28 at 8:30

YB The 2016-2017 Yellow Jacket yearbooks are in. Please see someone in room 100 if you did not get yours. A limited number of extras is available for $60.

ACT Workshop The August/September ACT workshop has been rescheduled to Oct 14 and 21 due to the lack of registered students and the lack of time for late registrations.

Scholarship Essay The D.A.R. sponsored Christopher Columbus Essay Contest is accepting submissions. Deadline to submit to Mrs. Sullivan in the main office is Monday, October 16 by 2 p.m. This is a national competition that awards a $1200 national scholarship and cash prizes for 2nd and 3rd place. Essay guidelines and specifics are located on the front desk. Please see Ms. Tedder if you have further questions.

Cross Country The cross country team will participate in the Hannah Pote Run for Education Saturday, August 26

Softball Today, softball plays Columbus at home, the JV game starts at 4:30, varsity starts at 6:30.

Swim The SHS Swim team travels to Flowood for the Clinton Invitational August 26.

Football 9th grade football plays Noxubee at home today. Following the 9th grade game at approximately 8:45, will be the first annual Jacket Racket pep rally with cheerleaders, band, and guest speakers. Help us ring in the first home game of the year. Bring your Cowbells Come out to support the Jackets versus Oxford High Friday night for the Little Egg Bowl.

Bowling Tryouts Tryouts for the bowling team will be held September 7. The bus will leave from the tennis courts at 4 pm. For more information, call Coach Philamlee (662) 312 7575. Bring completed physical and permission form.
