Welcome Class of 2021 to Rocky Mountain High School Home of the grizzlies!

Fast Forward The Fast Forward program provides every student attending an Idaho public school an allocation of $4,125.00 to use towards Advanced Opportunities in grades 7-12. The program was expanded by the Legislature in 2016 through the passing of House Bill 458.

Advanced Opportunities AP Exams Concurrent Credit Overload Credits

Dual Credit (aka, concurrent credit) Dual credit courses are taken by high school students. These courses are transcribed on both high school and college transcripts. The Fast Forward program can pay up to $75.00 per credit. These courses can be taken at the high school or online. In some cases students can take the course on the college/university campus.  All dual credit courses must be transcribed on the student’s high school transcript.

Overload Courses An overload course is a high school level course that is taken in excess of the student’s regular school day. These courses are offered online and are taken after school or during the summer. Overload courses must be above and beyond the full course load offered by the student’s local school.

4 Year Plan Why do we require this? The Parent Approved Student Learning Plan (aka, 4 Year Plan) is a flexible form that assists students in considering a plan for desired core classes and electives. It can assist the student in planning for prerequisites required for upper-level courses and/or career pathways. The State of Idaho requires that every 8th grade student complete a 4 Year Plan prior to advancing to 9th grade. The plan does not enroll a student in any course. A signature on an enrollment form will indicate approval of revisions to the original 4 Year Plan, if the student chooses different electives.
