Know the Facts!!!! Last 1-5 Minutes to Start (RARELY) No Pop Quizzes/Tests (Advance Notice – Always!) Class Calendar and Absentee Folders and Teacher Website “I finished my homework in class.” “I didn’t know we had a quiz.” “I didn’t know what I missed when I was absent.”

What Can You Do? Talk with your child about their day. Work on organizational skills and time management at home. Inform school of special circumstances. Volunteer to help. Keep a calendar at home for long-term assignments. Check your child’s assignment book regularly. Don’t accept “I did it at school” when asking your child about their homework.
