Burning platform – With the improvement in the way data is managed, Public Safety staff can be assigned to higher value work. Process Description – Requests for motor pool vehicles are emailed to public safety. The request are entered into a legacy data base. Each request has a paper ticket prepared for each customer. Upon the vehicle return the mileage information is taken from the ticket and recorded in the data base. Problem Statement – This process is a decoupled and inefficient process composed of legacy and manual solutions that consumes human resources and introduces errors.
