Objectives Reach-out to parents and families Continue with Events Movie Nights Support and attend PTA meetings & school-wide events Create a warm, respectful, and welcoming school environment Partner with parents at Back to School Night Reach-out for volunteers in our classrooms Support parents in helping their children at home During Parent Orientation Night, provide them with ideas and/or resources; school-wide Homework “policy” (?) * Include a parallel students-session on same topic

Objectives (cont.) Communicate with parents frequently, using a variety of methods Including, but not limited to, newsletters, phone calls, e– mail, notes, and home visits Be flexible in accommodating parents and families Schedule meetings/activities on campus, as well as off- campus; vary schedules Foster growth & further learning on this matter Books for the staff Professional Library Share ideas and links to articles/websites
