YPW POLICIES SPANISH PROGRAMS WORKSHOP SCHEDULE FOR SPANISH YPW offers beginner to advanced level Full-Immersion Spanish workshops for young people from preschool to middle school. YPW Spanish instructors are trained in early YPW offers a unique selection of engaging and very hands on workshops in art, science, music, Spanish, robotics and much more!, for infants to pre-college young people. Our year round programs are designed to provide new experiences not found in regular education and are also native Spanish speakers. "Full-Immersion" means the workshops, including all instructions and activities, are conducted entirely in Spanish. Even beginner students quickly become comfortable with this method of learning and absorb the Spanish language at a much quicker rate than if learning by hearing two languages concurrently. As with all workshops at YPW, the Full-Immersion Spanish workshops are "hands-on fun". Students learn through singing songs, role-playing, and playing games. Visual aids help further the learning process. Each student is encouraged to participate verbally during classrooms. YPW workshops are taught by highly skilled and experienced instructors who share the YPW philosophy of learning: Young People learn best when they are engaged, motivated, having fun, and actively involved in solving problems through play. YPW strives to help young people discover intelligent fun through educational hands-on workshops exploring different branches of art, science and technology. REGISTRATION POLICY question-and-respond sessions. All workshops include take-home material for continued review. $25 material fee per student and per session and full tuition is required with the registration form to reserve a space in the workshop. Registration is not considered complete and class space is not reserved until these fees are paid. Registration & Material fees are non-refundable / non-transferable. Chiquititos for Infants, Toddlers, and PreK - Mommy and Me Workshop This is a series of mixed-aged workshops for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. These are weekly, 40 minutes workshops. Parents and kids learn Spanish through songs, games, story telling. Young People participate with their care giver at their own level, when they are ready to do so. A parent or caregiver must accompany each child to the workshop. Additional siblings who have not reached their 1st birthday by the first day of class are free. It is common for young people in this age group to repeat workshops before gaining full mastery of the material. There are NO refunds or adjustments due to absences. TUITION POLICIES No refunds or adjustments due to absences, vacations or holidays. Tuition is non- refundable and non-transferable. Make-up classes are encouraged. Chiquitos: Ages 3 to 5 Spanish is fun! Parents can join the young people learning Spanish through songs, playing physically active games such as "Simon Says" and charades, creating artistic projects, and playing games like memory, bingo and dominoes. A vocabulary based on words encountered in daily life is the building block of this YPW Full-Immersion Spanish program for Young People. It is common for young people in this age group to repeat workshops before gaining full mastery of the material. 40 minutes workshop. WORKSHOP SCHEDULE FOR SPANISH Chiquititos - Mommy & Me Spanish Workshop - for infants, toddlers and preschoolers Chiquitos - 3 to 5 - , Chicos - 6 to 9 - , Muchachos - 9 to 12 - Chicos: Ages 6 to 9 Spanish School - Kinder to 6th grade - Students learn Spanish through story telling, games, songs, and activities related to their own experiences. The Chicos workshops are designed to gradually enable students to attain proficiency in speaking, listening, reading and writing. Young people will be fully exposed to the Spanish language and benefit from learning in this "Spanish-only" environment for one or two hours a week. It is common for young people in this age group to repeat workshops before gaining full mastery of the material. 50 minutes workshop. 45 minutes (infants to preschool) or 50 minutes (school age) per session once, twice or more per week. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday AM 9:30, 10:30, 11:30 Muchachos: Ages 9 - 12 PM Students learn to communicate in Spanish orally and through reading and writing. More elaborate sentence structures and vocabulary is learned through fun meaningful activities. 50 minutes workshop. 4:00, 5:00 Spanish School - Kindergarten to 6th Grade- Bellas Artes: Ages 6+ Every Sunday from 9 to 12 or 1 to 4 OR Wednesdays 3 to 6 pm Improve your young people Spanish while learning about Latin art and culture. This workshop has been designed for children who understand Spanish but need practice speaking Spanish. This RATES PER STUDENT workshop focuses on developing participants' oral expression and pronunciation skills. $25 Material fee Winter & Spring Sessions - Number Of Sessions Per Week / 10 Week Session Spanish School: Kindergarten to Middle School This workshop is designed for students who want to learn read and write Spanish, improve their grammar and learn or improve their conversational skills. Also, this program is designed to help 1 / $190 2 / $315 3 / $415 4 / $490 5 / $578 Spanish School $490 / 10 Sundays per Session maintain and improve the student's Spanish proficiency and culture while living in the United States. This program is also good for school-age children and students who have the basic Spanish language skills to comprehend classes conducted in Spanish and who want to maintain and improve their Spanish proficiency and culture. 3 hour workshop. Workshop Levels: Ages 2 – 5: Age Appropriate Workshops Level 1: Beginner Level 2: Beginner / Intermediate Level 3: Intermediate Level 4: Intermediate / Advanced Level 5: Advanced Fall Session - Number Of Sessions Per Week / 14 Week Session 1 / $266 2 / $441 3 / $581 4 / $686 5 / $785 Spanish School $686 / 14 Sundays per Session Schedule is subject to change at anytime. Check with the school office for workshop availability. A minimum of 4 students is needed to start a workshop.
