Lightning Talk about WP4 The 4th International Workshop on Cyber security – Securing IoT, 20th March 2017 Lightning Talk about WP4 Ma Chenguang Department of Informatics, Graduate School of Information Science & Electrical Engineering, Kyushu University, JAPAN Good afternoon! Everyone! My name is machenguang , a master course student of kyushu university. Today ,I feel very honored to be able to do this lightning talk in front of so many excellent professors.

India-Japan Project SECURITY IN THE INTERNET OF THINGS SPACE The 4th International Workshop on Cyber security ? Securing IoT, 20th March 2017 India-Japan Project SECURITY IN THE INTERNET OF THINGS SPACE Project Readers of India and Japan Prof. Koji Okamura, Director of Cybersecurity Center, Kyushu University Prof. Ranjan Bose, Department of Electrical Engineering, IITD Research Period Oct. 2016 – Sept. 2021 (Japanese side) Working Package 4「IoT Security & Education 」 Kyusyu University Prof. Yoshihiro Okada, Director of ICER Ms. Ma Chenguang, Master course student Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi Prof. Ranjan Bose, Department of Electrical Engineering Ms. Srishti Kulshrestha, Master course student First of all, I appreciate the project leaders Prof. Koji Okamura and Prof. Ranjan Bose who leading us to conduct this India-Japan project about security in the internet of things space from Oct. 2016 to Sept. 2021 . In this project , our group are in charging of the working package 4 which is about IoT Security and education. There are four members in our group. They are prof.YoshihiloOkada, and me from kyushu university. And prof. RanjanBose and a master course student Ms. Srishti from indian institute of Technology, delhi.

WP4 「IoT Security & Education」 Overall Research Purposes Educational Material Development By Applying Recent IoT Threat Information Derived from the collaboration results with WP1, WP2 and WP6 Education Practices Applications development and exercises collaborating with WP3 and WP5 And then I will introduce our working package briefly. First of all , there are two purposes of our research. One is educational material development by applying recent IOT thread information which is derived from the collaboration results with wp1,wp2,and wp6 The other one is the conduction of education practices by developing applications and designing the exercises which is made by collaborating with WP3 and WP5.

WP4 「IoT Security & Education」 16 17 18 19 20 20 21 Activity Plan(5years milestones) Collect and investigate various types of sensor data, Extraction of threat information from them and Store as Linked Data =>Quickly applying to e-Learning materials =>Sharing with collaborated institutions ①Web based Viewer for educational materials supporting international standards formats =>Recording learner’s activity data for Learning Analytics = > Visualization tools of the activity data ②SPOC(Small Private Online Course) for IoT Security Education =>Education practice among collaborated institutions => Brush up the contents ③MOOC(Massive Open Online Course) for IoT Security Education =>as Open Educational Resources ④Serious Games for IoT Security Education =>for students of Elementary, Junior and High schools Development Design Practice Revise Dev. Prac. Dev. Prac. Revise For achieving our research purposes, we have five years plan as the figure shows. First of all ,we are going to collect and investigate various types of sensor data, and extract the threat information from them and store as Linked Data which is quickly able to apply to e-learning materials and easily share with collaborated institution. Secondly, we will design and develop web-based viewer for educational materials which is supporting international standards formats. With this viewer, we want to record learners’ activities for learning analytics and then we will design and develop visualization tools for the analytics of such activity data. Thirdly ,we are supposed to give SPOC(Small Private Online Course) for IOT security education and want to share among collaborated institutions. After that ,we are supposed to publish MOOC(Massive Open Online Course) for IOT security education. We would like to request you to help as lecturers of the course. Finally , we are supposed to develop serious games for IoT security education to elementary ,Junior and high school students. Dev. Prac.

WP4 「IoT Security & Education」 Activity Plan of this fiscal year 1)Standardization of e-Learning materials formats Standardization forums : ①ADBook: IEEE Actionable Data Book project, ②CEN eTernity project, ③IMS ICE project, ④EDUPUB project Learning Analytics standards: Caliper 2)Design of web-based viewer of educational materials Web-based (HTML5, various mono media tags, WebGL, JavaScript) Linkage mechanism based on Linked Data Technology for mono media Enable Learning Analytics 3)Design of visualization tools for Learning Analytics Specification of learner’s activity data(log data) Intuitive analysis manner Based on already developed tools, Time-tunnel and so on 4)To collect IoT security resources for e-Learning materials That will be used as workshop materials will be held for IoT security persons of companies and universities, and government officials Next , I would like to introduce the activity plan of this fiscal year. In the first step , we are going to learn about the standardization of e-learning materials formats. In the second step , we plan to design web-based viewer of educational materials using the linkage mechanism based on Linked data technology for mono media . At the same time , we are going to enable the learning analytics. Based on the second step, we will design the visualization tools for learning analytics. Finally ,we are going to collect IOT security resources for e-learning materials that will be used as workshop materials will be held for IoT security persons of companies and universities, and government officials.

2)Design of web-based viewer of educational materials Linked Data Cloud Electronic textbook standards Overview of system System can be customized by acquired LOD As I mentioned we are going to design of web-based viewer of educational materials. For that ,one of students in our lab designed a web-based authoring tool as shown in the lower right part using the linked data. In the future work, we will combine the authoring tool with the edupub standards to design the viewer of educational materials.

3)Design of visualization tools for Learning Analytics BookLooper Cubic Gantt Chart, [Nakamura et al, 2015] About Learning Analytics, as Prof. Okada already introduced, we have some visualization tools, i.e., Cubic Gantt Chart and Time-tunnel, those are available for the Learning Analytics. We are also supposed to develop more useful visualization tools in this project. Time-tunnel, [Akaishi et al, 2004]
