Everyone fights ACNE. Here’s a few things that might help.

FOOD: Everyone has something they eat that seems to give them acne.

Here are some of the best known…

SUGAR

FRIED FOODS

DAIRY

CHOCOLATE

Next time your skin breaks out, think what you’ve eaten lately Next time your skin breaks out, think what you’ve eaten lately. Try to remember the time before that… was anything the same? What foods break you out?

Some drugs can cause acne. One especially– STEROIDS

When used right steroids can help your body fight infection When used right steroids can help your body fight infection. When abused they can ruin your body, mind and skin.

Think next time you see someone who is twisted with muscles, over aggressive and their skin looks like hamburger….

So if you watch what you eat and don’t do drugs here’s something else that might help

HAIR and HANDS

Oil on the skin often causes acne.

Hair has natural oils, so it’s important to keep it clean.

Which brings us to Rule #1: Keep your hair away from your face Which brings us to Rule #1: Keep your hair away from your face! Dirty hair often causes acne.

When you wash your hair try keeping the suds away from your face and acne. Look at the ingredients on your shampoo bottle and see all the oils and chemicals that are in it

Hands are oily, too. That’s why we leave fingerprints.

Which brings us to Rule #2: Keep your hands off your face!

Before you touch that acne, think what else you have touched today….

As if that wasn’t gross enough, let’s talk about…. the STAPH GERM

It likes warm, moist places like locker rooms, gyms, bathrooms… It likes warm, moist places like locker rooms, gyms, bathrooms…. But there’s one place everyone, even you, carries staph--

In your nose

Now think of all the times in a day you touch your nose… and then touch your skin.

Clean your hands before you touch your skin Clean your hands before you touch your skin. Use something that kills bacteria and viruses. Alcohol or hydrogen peroxide are good.

See why acne gets worse when you mess with it?

So you’re going to keep your hair and hands off your skin. What else?

Experiment to find a soap that works for you Experiment to find a soap that works for you. Try to stay away from lots of perfume. Many good labels are our there, Try them out.

And lastly, see about a laundry soap for your clothes that is allergy free with no perfume. Your clothes touch your skin more than your hands. Clean your pillow case often.

Remember, dermatologists are doctors that specialize in treating acne Remember, dermatologists are doctors that specialize in treating acne. They are always available as a last resort!

Remember, everyone fights acne. You are not alone.

We are stars wrapped in skin— the light you are looking for has always been within.
