Cover Letter Purpose of a cover letter or letter of application is to request a chance to apply for a position & obtain an interview Often the most important factor in determining who will be selected for an interview Should be brief Create a good impression Completed on computer If possible, address letter to the correct individual

Resumé The resume’ is a personal data sheet that provides additional information not found on the application Thorough, concise summary of education, skills, accomplishments, work experience Should make you appear qualified as an employee Prepared on computer and attractive in appearance Format can vary One-page is usually sufficient
