Observation, Inference or Prediction? The bell is ringing?

You can hear the bell ringing. Observation You can hear the bell ringing.

Observation, Inference or Prediction? The flower has red petals.

You can see the red of the petals. Observation You can see the red of the petals.

Observation, Inference or Prediction? The boy has tears in his eyes, so I think he is sad.

Inference Even though you have not talked to the boy, you know that when people cry, generally they are sad.

Observation, Inference or Prediction? The dog is going to burp.

Prediction You have not seen the dog eat. You are just making a guess as to what may happen.

Observation, Inference or Prediction? There is a lot of red in the painting, so I think the artist was mad.

Inference Even though you have not talked to the artist, you have learned that the color red is a color associated with anger.
