CLOSING EQUIPMENT

IMPORTANT!!! Keep Poll Pad powered on while packing printer and stand

Things To Remember Confirm battery charge on Poll Pad, Charger Base, and Hot Spot Snake the cord on the Poll Pad to the pedestal battery unit. Use the stylus – not fingers! Match the Poll Pad ## to the printer ## assigned to it. If the Hot Spot is not working – contact the Head Judge. The AB voters will need to be marked manually in the Poll Pad. If you can’t find a voter’s name – remember to search different ways: using their address and/or DOB. Turn off and pack the printer FIRST. Turn off the Poll Pad LAST.

Practice Makes Perfect Several weeks before Election Day Use public buildings (City Halls) throughout the county Ask skilled Head Judges to staff the locations Send several Poll Pads and all related supplies Allow election judges to practice one on one with no pressure to “perform” Comfort level rises = fewer election worker errors on Election Day
