Healthy Eating To know what constitutes a balanced diet. Understand how we can improve our own diet. To reflect on our own health.

What did you eat? Can you list everything that you ate over the past two days? Work out what percentage of that is fruit/vegetables/meat/sweets and carbohydrate? Are you happy with the way your percentages are looking?

The Eat Well Plate Explain to the students how a balanced diet is key. Eating solely one food group is dangerous and can lead to illness. Discuss with students how different people will need different levels of food depending on their job/ way of life. There is no standard diet.

What will you change? How could you change/ replace the food you ate over the past 2 days to make it healthy? Remember balance is key. Think about the activities you are doing, do you need to eat more?
