Savannah Engineering Academy 5 day STEM summer camp for rising high school juniors and seniors from public schools, private schools, and home schools Completely run by volunteers who are engineers working as professionals in the local area Supported by Businesses, Educational Institutions, and Professional Organizations (including SAME) Hosted at Armstrong State University and the Skidaway Institute of Oceanography 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
Savannah Engineering Academy Students must have grades of 80% or better in math/science/engineering/tech courses and provide a teacher recommendation to apply Only cost to students: $60 registration fee Students learn about different disciplines of engineering through hands-on activities, field trips, and site visits
Savannah Engineering Academy COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS The Savannah Engineering Academy now offers college scholarships to past participants who are accepted and enrolled in an ABET-accredited engineering program Scholarships will be offered through the Georgia Engineering Foundation Two $1,500 Scholarships will be offered in 2017
