Habitat Most White Tigers live in Siberia, Russia. Being white the snow is a great camouflage for them. They can hunt for food easier than in a rain forest. That happens because everything there is colorful, it will make it harder for the white tigers to hunt and they might die.

Why Endangered There are only about 200-400 White tigers in the wild. There aren’t many left in the zoos. People hunt them for their fur which is beautiful. Hunters sell furs for a lot of money per fur. Hunting of white tigers is illegal since they became endangered which was in 1800’s and are still endangered now. If hunting doesn’t stop all the white tigers will die out leaving no trail behind them.

Interesting facts White tigers can only be born if both have a gene of white coloring. The first White tiger cub precursor to all the captive white tigers is believed to be one trapped by the Maharaja of Rewa, who found it orphaned in the jungle in 1951. They named the cub Mohan Mohan was mated, making the first white born cub in the zoo.

How can we help? If we don’t help white tigers will die out. Poachers will continue hunting wiping white tigers out. We have to give money for white tigers fund; just give some spare change for them. The Magnificent White Tigers White tigers are magnificent animal. Fur is white because of the snow and ice around Siberia. White fur is what makes them beautiful. Poachers keep hunting them and selling its fur at the black market. Only 200-400 in the wild today. Russian police try to stop poachers before they commit the crime.

What will happen if the white tigers die out? We would lose another species of the tiger family. The eco system in Siberia will be destroyed because there will be no more white tigers.
