Tobacco: Diseases, and Death.......... Respiratory Problems (Lungs) Chronic Bronchitis- is a disease that causes the airways of the lungs to become irritated and swollen. The irritation causes the person to produce a lot of mucus. Emphysema-destroys the tiny air sacs and the walls of the lung.

Cardiovascular Disease Cardiovascular disease-a disorder of the circulatory system. (prevents organs and limbs from getting the amount of blood they need.) Arteries- the inside is damaged and allows material to build up inside. Eventually the material will block the arteries. Can result in heart attack, stroke, amputation of limbs.

Cancer Lung Cancer- damaged cells grow out of control. Spreads quickly. Symptoms don’t appear until it is advanced. Mouth Cancer Sores in mouth Can be in mouth, head, and neck.

Other Health Problems Take longer to heal. gum and dental disease. Eye diseases. Premature aging. Harmful to fetus (unborn child). Babies suffer from health complications.
