Presentation transcript:

Wanted Greek Gods and Goddesses On Thursday, November 17th we will be celebrating the end of our Ancient Greece Unit with an Ancient Greece Gods and Goddesses celebration. Students will be able to dress up as their favorite god or goddess from Ancient Greece and tell the class all about themselves. Each students is to make a WANTED POSTER for their god or goddess. On the wanted poster they will need to include as much of the following information as possible: Relatives? (parents, siblings, what god or goddess did he or she marry or love….?) On presentation day, students are asked to dress the part of their god/goddess. Students will each be giving a small presentation. Public speaking is very important and it is good to begin practicing young. Please help your child with their oral presentation at home. We will be reading many different myths and learning about individual gods and goddesses throughout the unit. If students want to begin the project early (recommended!), a little research will have to be done at home. A brief description of where the god is from and where the god can usually be found (in other words, where does the god spend his/her time in the myths?) What other identifying characteristics or interesting facts have you discovered about your god? A picture of the god (choose something appropriate for a poster) The name of the god (make it easy to see) He or she is the god or goddess of…..? Does this god have a weapon? This god is famous for……? DUE THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 17th Wanted Greek Gods and Goddesses See reverse side for grading details.
