Carlos Augusto Alves Santana Carlos Santana nació en 1947, en un pueblo mexicano llamado Autlan. Fue iniciado a la música tradicional por su padre, un músico de mariachi, aunque a Carlos le gustaba la música rock que imperaba en aquella época.

He is from…… Carlos is from Autlan de Navarro, Mexico. He grew up in the border of Tijuana. His family became established in 1955.

Tha Band….. Carlos is famous for his band called The Santana Blues Band. The band created a highly blend of salsa, rock, blues, and jazz fusion. Their sound featured high-pitched and clean guitar lines set against Latin instrumentation.

More and more fame! The Santana Blues Band appears at the Woodstock festival every year in New York. The band performed at the 37th annual NAACP Awards in 2006. Carlos alone, and his band have sold many hit records.
