When he was born He was born on 1/15/1929 He was born in Georgia, Atlanta His parents names were Alberta William King and Martin Luther King Sr.

His Childhood When he was 12 he tried to commit suicide by jumping of a two story window but survived. He liked learning to play the piano as a kid. He liked playing sports like football and baseball. He got segregated from his neighbor who was white.

I have a Dream Speech I have a dream, that all of my four little children will once live in a nation where they wouldn't be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.   

What he Did He stopped segregation by giving peaceful speeches. He started a boycott. He helped out his race. He was a hero to many people. He also won the Nobel Peace Prize

Character Traits He was brave because he gave speeches in front of a lot of people. He was spiritual because he believed that peaceful protests were better than violence. He also has leadership because he led a boycott by not using the bus. He was smart because he was a good student in class.

Martin Luther King Jr.'s 'I Have a Dream' speech is among the most acclaimed in U.S. history, and the 50th anniversary this week of the March on Washington where he delivered it highlights the speech's staying power.  His soaring close "to let freedom ring" still resonates today and inspires those who are moved by his dream. 

When he Past Away He died April 4th 1968 He got assassinated in Memphis, Tennessee He got killed by James Earl Ray

Lessons Learned I learned some things about Martin Luther king Jr's.  birth and death. One thing that I learned is that it is important to treat people like you want to be treated. I also learned that segregation is a really terrible thing but back then the white people thought it was ok but it really wasn’t ok at all.
