AP WORLD HISTORY

IF STUDENTS ARE STRUGGLING…. Monday/Wednesdays at 2:15 for help; but if I’m here students can work on test corrections, essay work, etc….but they may not have individual time with me. - Textbook Efficiency Days (2-4 x a month) - Essay/Test Help Days (usually 1-2x a month)

HOMEWORK EVERY NIGHT approx. 4-6 pages, notes Sometimes articles or short project TEXTBOOK IS AT HOME!!! HOMEWORK CHECK…10% of grade - Random checks 1-2 x a week - if no homework, they can’t do test corrections – but they can show it to me next day for ½ credit

GRADES Tests are approximately 45% of grade TEST CORRECTIONS can be done (1/2 pt) - at school - at home Essays are approximately 45% of grade ESSAY CORRECTIONS can be done (up to a 9) - “How to” is on-line (by Monday)

AP EXAM May 2017 Cost $91.00* International Exam 1-5 SCORING…MY SCORES If student does AP Exam, no final exam! If student scores well on an AP Exam…

AP vs EVCC CREDIT AP is national/international & well-respected AP needs a score of 4 or 5 in MOST colleges (but not all!) for 5-6 credits AP Test can change your grade in class EVCC is recognized locally; but not nationally It is more expensive, but you get the credit right away
