Company Assessments Future Plans Companies designing and manufacturing their own systems may wish to publicly recognise their Obsolescence Management Capability End Users are increasingly asking for evidence of the ability to manage Obsolescence in new contracts Companies offering solutions to obsolescence may also wish to demonstrate their awareness and knowledge in this area For these reasons IIOM is developing a capability assessment using international standards and the UK developed TOMCAT (Total Obsolescence Management Capability Assessment Tool) This tool offers a unique capability to demonstrate the current level of capability and guide companies on improvements needed to reach the next level
Process Assessments Future Plans Only IIOM Endorsed Assessors could audit projects and organisations for compliance against IEC62402:2007 and other International standards This also applies to the TOMCAT tool
One of IIOM’s Mission statements is to: Promote and recognise high standards of practice and professional competence We are the leading international community of Obsolescence Practitioners
