Negative Tú Commands

Earlier we learned about Positive Tú Commands which were conjugated just like the 3p.s. of the present tense verb. Negative Tú Commands need more than just a ‘NO’ in front of the verb, but, you’re still familiar with the formula to create a Neg. Tú Command.

To conjugate a Neg. Tú Command: Yo-form Drop the - o- Opposite vowel ending Add ‘s’ *Make sure you add ‘No’ to the beginning!

To conjugate a Neg. Tú Command: Hablar Yo-form: Drop the - o- : Opposite vowel ending: Add ‘s’ : * Don’t forget ‘No’: Hablo Habl- Hable hables No hables
