Objectives Discuss optimal utilization of student pharmacists Identify student pharmacist roles and benefits to both preceptor and student Illustrate the need for pharmacy experience in learning Describe the Penobscot Community Health Care model along with experiences and benefits seen with pharmacy students

Misconceptions of Students: perception vs. Reality Two mindsets: technician or time burden Historical model has been heavily observational Practical application: where learning happens “strategically engaging the student and allowing them to apply what they know is the model that we as an organization and myself personally have had great success with.
