The Green Effect Reclaimed wood, also referred to as antique wood, is wood that is salvaged from buildings that have outlived their usefulness. The wood from old barns, mills, warehouses, and other structures that are being deconstructed is the wood we would be using. By saving wood from destruction, it relieves pressure on forests to generate more trees. In addition we would be keeping materials out of landfills and give the wood a new life for future generations.
