Dry wall applications with high density boards – growing segment particular in the industrial and public area. High density plaster boards combine important features in one product: Noise reduction Fire protection Wet room suitable Break resistant High stability The share of brand plasterboards has reached 20% according to information from Knauf, Germany. Boards have a extreme hard and flat surface. They needs to be fasten with special screws. Some dry wall screw drivers are not powerful enough. On the other side crafter expect one screw driver for all dry-wall application. There is no willingness to switch between screw drivers. 07.2012 5

Product information / FAQ Why is the new ASCT more powerful but the torque is still at 10/5 Nm? To be competitive we reported on the old ASCT the absolute maximum which the motor can achieve. But at 5 Nm the motor is close to block and stop. At the new FEIN brushless motor we are more conservative. The motor is able to keep the 5 Nm permanently. Thus and due to additional reserves at the battery (high current capability), we can fasten even double layed fibre boards and high density boards. The performance of the ASCT is limited by the battery. Technically are even 20% higher torque possible but paid by the life-time of the battery. FEIN protects the batteries by limitation the maximum power of the battery by the electronic unit. That results in a very high life-time. On screw drivers we expect a life-time of 2.000 re-charges per battery. Assuming an average of 250 working days per year, a battery will last for 8 years! 07.2012 6
