R, F, B. No Revenge Forgive Bless “Love must be sincere” Romans 12:9
NO REVENGE: love your enemies Being vengeful has consequences. A vengeful heart is never satisfied.
Give generously without Turn the other cheek Give generously without conditions Give sacrificially Go the extra mile
THE “F” WORD! FORGIVE: love your enemies. Matthew 5: 43-48 God does hate evil, but his intent is to bring reconciliation. Forgiveness is at the very core of Christianity and represents love in the highest form. Even as He took his last breath, Jesus cried out, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” Luke 23:34.
We bless our enemies through our kindness. BLESSING: love your enemies. We bless our enemies through our graciousness Luke 6:27-31 We bless our enemies through our kindness. Romans 12:14-20. We bless our enemies through our prayers. Romans 12:14.
LET’S GET PERSONAL! Who do you need to forgive? Do you have an ‘enemy’ who you are allowing to rob you of your peace because you are trying to get even? Are there people you need to cultivate the habit of blessing and not cursing or being irritated and annoyed with?
